West Side Cafe in Fort Wortd

This little cafe has the best breakfast, hands down!! This little place is so full of charm! It takes you back to the old days, when things were simpler and more special. There's always tons of waitress help on duty and the cooks are wonderful! What a nice change of pace in this crazy and wacky world we now live in. Keep doing what y'all do there, Westside!! We love it!!

Food is amazing and love the people that work there. We get food from here at least once a week.

We have been going to this place for no less than15 years. The past 5 years, the food has gone down hill. We just are so sad because we found the taste is so bland that we may not go back.

I'm always hesitant to write reviews for places I love, because I don't want them to get crowded. In this case- the folks here deserve every ounce of praise they get. I have lived down the street for 5 years now, and I've yet to have even an "okay" time here. There is a reason this place has been here for so long- great food, great service, and fair prices. Breakfast is my favorite meal here, but they have an incredible lunch menu as well. All the waitresses and hostesses are super helpful and friendly.

Any time I’m out of town I always find the mom and pop shops. I love me a traditional cafe and this 1 is exactly what I love about then. A very cozy, personal friendly environment and the food was excellent, the crew was wonderful . I had the steak and eggs-1 of the best steaks I’ve had yet and I had a few “high end “ steak joints. But ask me my preference and I’d chose a place like this snd day.

Great breakfast! They are always quick, even when they're busy you never have to wait too long. Go for lunch on Sunday, their turkey and dressing is awesome!

Pulled up to get my to go order and the man was hat came out to help was by far the sweetest and nicest man I have seen working here . I have been coming here for 20 years and this man was off the chart . I asked his name and it is Cory!!! Way to go west side for hiring this young man!!!

You know the place is running at peak efficiency when you are still eating your salad when your entree' arrives. Great staff, friendly people. Like going to Grandma's House. Never disappointed!!!

I enjoyed a real nice grilled chicken salad. Waitresses are happy smiling, with very good service. Just watching how the kitchen was ran, itself was enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was delicious, and served quickly. All waitstaff and employees wore masks. No problem ordering an afterthought baked potato.

I read a little while ago that the owner of this establishment kept paying his servers during the shutdown when it first happened. I’m a server for a big corp and I really wanted to come try it because I thought that was amazing of the owners. I went today and had breakfast and it was amazing. It was really cheap & the portions were HUGE. I read the lunch menu and I’m excited to try that as well. My server was polite and another lady came by and immediately cleaned up after us. Also the lady who dropped off our food asked if we needed anything else like condiments and she actually got it for us. Overall it was a great experience.

This place is always packed, that's a good thing. The wait time after ordering is shorter than expected considering the amount of people they serve. The food is really good and affordable. We always come in really big groups, at least 15 each time, and the staff is very nice and accommodating. I can't say enough nice things about the cafe.

Fried Catfish is so fluffy OMG!!! Really hit the spot for comfort food today. So happy they have been serving our community even thru this scary time. The whole staff really does work together to keep everyone happy and fed! Thank you'll west side cafe team!

Wonderful home cooking, staff is polite and helpful and they make you feel at ease and relaxed.. Since moving to Fort Worth Texas it’s one of our favorite places to dine and eat.

The restauraunt is very cozy, the staff very friendly, and the food is delicious.The staff make sure everyone is taken care of, drinks refilled, and keep the service quick and polite.The food is cooked to perfection, we got the chicken nd dumplings, chicken fried steak, and the chopped burger steak with a wide variety of sides. It was happy diners all around the table.Came here on a whim, and coming back for the great service and food.

Came during Covid, I placed an order over the phone and the lady who answered the phone today was super nice and professional! She asked me to pull up to any number slot and call them with that number.We ordered the chicken fried chicken it was amazing, very juicy and tender and perfectly seasoned, the batter was nice and golden with perfectly cooked green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy on top. We also ordered the fried Catfish my God it was super fresh and melts in your mouth good! With mashed potatoes and fried okra all came with buttered freshly baked soft amazing rolls ! We also ordered the coconut cream pie and that its for lunch, dinner and the next day lol!!! Super satisfied, great service with gloves and masks and on top of everything they bring it to your car!! Please tip them well!!! Love you guys!

Even at 6:10am I got a great breakfast in just a few minutes. This was the #2 menu item, breakfast scrambler. Lots of food served hot and fast. Great job West Side!

We ordered through Grubhub and our food was delivered fast but was missing an item. Not the drivers fault at all, was the restaurant. For it being a cafe, it was too pricey for the taste of the food. My burger was mediocre not worth 10 bucks as well as the fries. Will not be returning at all, was disappointed with the taste and price of food!

First, I'll say, it can get a bit pricey if you're paying for several people. Expect to spend about $10 per person. But, with that being said, it's worth the money and you'll get what you pay for. Food is good, staff is friendly, but busy. You may have to hold your empty drink cup in the air to get it noticed. It's always crowded when I go in. The one thing I wish, was that they put on the menu when things are cooked with pork. I ordered the turnip greens because it didn't say anything about ham on the menu, only to discover it had ham, which I do not eat. I didn't complain or anything. The sides were served in individual bowls, so I just slid it across the table to a relative who definitely ate it.

These are hands down the best biscuits I have had in years. The place seems small on the outside but the inside is open and full of life. Everyone seemed to know everyone so it makes you feel right at home.

I love how they take care of people because they hired plenty of people. Real conservative and I love it. They could put in a few more bathrooms but other than that, I love it!

Review #63209/12/2019Rebecca was our waitress and she was super attentive and quick even during the lunch hour. Ate here for the first time today, and I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with white cream gravy on both and pinto beans. They were excellent. I will be going back. They are quite crowded at lunch time and probably all other areas of time LOL. Set beside a lady who goes there every single day for the last 17 years. They have free parking and they have bathrooms but take a bath before you go. My friends had real catfish and the other fridge had a vegetable plate. They have quite the collection of famous people have there including Clint Eastwood and some of the old Dallas Cowboy gang, as well as pictures of veterans who have served our country. And I will gladly spend my money at a place that recognizes veteran's for their service.

This restaurant has been in business for many decades. The food is always great and the service is always friendly. It is one reason my family keeps coming back even though it's 24 miles from our house.

We love this place! Boy, is it crowded on a Saturday morning. Be prepared to wait a bit. Super friendly staff. Great traditional Texas comfort food. Definitely 5 stars.

Excellent food and service ... reasonable prices. Comfort food ... breakfast all day. I had the catfish with two sides ... best catfish I've had in years. I wanted to try the dessert, but was way too full after the meal. Great place ... I'll be back for sure.

This place has terrific, home style dishes at a very fair price. I always make it a point to dine there when I'm in Ft. Worth.

The food is absolutely delicious and the customer service is amazing all the waitresses are super friendly and constantly checking on you this is my new go to for breakfast and lunch
